MP and ROCOR Open Talks on Reunification
MOSCOW, June 26 (Itar-Tass) – Talks on issues in relations between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Church Abroad began in Moscow on Monday.
The key task is the finalisation of an act on canonical communication, the passing of which will mean the restoration of unity of the Russian Church.
An official of the Moscow Patriarchy?s department of relations between Orthodox churches told Itar-Tass that one of lingering issues was the fate of parishes of the Church Abroad that formed in Russia in the 1990s.

Russian Faithful Venerate Holy Relic
For the faithful of the Russian Orthodox Church, it is a hugely significant event.
A relic which they believe to be the hand of John the Baptist is on public display in the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour in Moscow.
It is back in the Russian capital for the first time since the mother of the last tsar, Empress Maria Fyodorovna, fled with it in the aftermath of the 1917 Bolshevik revolution.

Anniversary of Russian Patriarch's enthronement celebrated
Moscow, June 8, Interfax ? Church-wide celebrations to mark the 16th anniversary of the ministry of Alexy II as Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia were held at the Church of Christ the Savior on Thursday. Over three thousand people attended.
?You have established contacts with the business community, states officials and public figures. You have restored good relations between church and society; we learnt and continue to learn from you?, said Metropolitan Vladimir of St. Petersburg and Lagoda, extending congratulations to Patriarch Alexy on behalf of the entire Russian Orthodox Church.

ROCOR Bishops back reunion with MPatriarch
San Francisco, May 17, Interfax – A San Francisco session of the Bishops’ Council of the Russian Orthodox Church abroad has approved a resolution proposing a reunion with the Moscow Patriarchate, the Russian Church abroad said on its official website.
The council will also adopt an act on interaction with the Moscow Patriarchate.
Last week’s All-Diaspora Convention agreed that “this creative deed must culminate in the restoration of the long-sought unity of the Russian Church,” the resolution reads.
